Kundapur, Apr 19: In a tragic incident, a youth whose marriage was to be held shortly, committed suicide on Monday April 18 evening by hanging himself. He revealed about his intention to end his life to a friend by way of mobile message just before his death.

The deceased is Manjunath Madiwala (32) from Nada village. The reasons for him to take this extreme step is not known. His body was found hanging from the branch of a tree at a thicket behind his house.

Manjunath was running a shop at Bengaluru. He had come back to his native place six months ago, and started living with his mother. His marriage was fixed recently, and was supposed to be held on May 6.

His mother was worried at the fact that her son was not to be seen since Monday afternoon. In the meanwhile, a message received from Manjunath's cellphone to a close friend said that he was facing problem and hence decided to end life. The message requested the friend to console his mother and instill confidence and courage in her after his death.
